Who is skinceuticals?
SkinCeuticals is a revolutionary cosmeceutical skin care line that combines elements of medical and prescriptive skin care with cosmetic skin care. SkinCeuticals mission is simple – to provide advanced skincare that’s backed by science.
Doctor Sheldon Pinnell, the founding scientist, found that when the natural form of Vitamin C, known as L-Ascorbic acid, was combined with Ferulic Acid, Phloretin and Vitamin E, it helped brighten the skin and repair DNA damage as well as eradicate oxidative stress.
The History of skinceuticals
Founded in 1997, SkinCeuticals was born from decades of research and science. Lead by Doctor Sheldon Pinnell, a range of innovative dermatology products designed to prevent serious skin damage and reduce the signs of ageing was developed. Pinnell researched the degenerative and ageing effect extrinsic factors (such as UV rays, pollution and lifestyle) have on the skin, and the impact that oxidation has on skin calls.
Doctor Pinnell found that Oxidation caused the appearance of skin wrinkling, discolouration, loss of elasticity and in the most extreme for abnormal cell development. Alongside this, his pioneering research found that Vitamin C helped prevent the oxidative effects on the skin, improve oxidative stress and reverse signs of ageing.
From this, SkinCeuticals high potency formulas that are based on a combination of antioxidants were developed and are concentrated in pure actives that are proven to penetrate optimally into skin.
In 2005, L’Oréal acquired SkinCeuticals and distributed it to a network of highly luxurious spas, dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons. Their headquarters are based in Dallas, Texas.
