What’s the difference between Daxxify and Botox formulations?

How to dose Daxxify
The doses for Botox and Daxxify are not interchangeable as the amount of active ingredient varies between the two brands:
- DAXXIFY frown line dose: 40 Units. Amount of active ingredient: 0.18 nanograms
- BOTOX frown line dose: 20 Units. Amount of active ingredient: 0.18 nanograms
- DYSPORT frown line dose: 50 Units. Amount of active ingredient: 0.27 nanograms
Where can Daxxify be used?
Daxxify was FDA approved in September 2022 for the treatment of the glabellar also known as frown lines- vertical lines between the eyebrows.
Are there any side effects?
Clinical trials showed no difference in significant side effects compared to other toxins currently available on the market.
How much will Daxxify cost?
There is no information as of yet as to how much Daxxify will cost however it is widely expected to cost more than the main competitor Botox due to the increased duration of effect.
